Blenheim

Extension, House, Renovation

This conversion of a dated bungalow into a modern sustainable family home makes a positive contribution to the existing streetscape. The design seeks to add to the mix with a building which is of its time that responds to its context in materiality and form.

Three intersecting forms, the original bungalow retained in white render , elevated timber box housing the mezzanine and bedrooms and a zinc cube at the rear extends the living space. Energy saving and sustainability are integral to this conversion
